SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT and e-GOVERNANCE

Water-Safe drinking water to all.In urban houses there should be two watersupply (i) Treated water safe for drinking purposes and (ii) untreated water for toilet purposes and other use such as for cleaning, plants etc. This should be in addition to rainwater harvesting for recharge in the water table. In the rural areas also there should be separate treated water supply for safe drinking purposes.
Power/Energy:there should be emphasis on power conservation rather only on generation by making use of LED's for domestic and street lighting, use of power saving machines in industries and in domestic appliances.
Education:In particular the archtectural Engineers should be educated to build houses/audotoriums/halls/hospitals suited with only sunlight during the day and power should only be needed for night use.
E-Governance should be implemented vigourously by making use of Common Service centres. All payments and transactions should be implemented through Internet.
The residential places should be converted into office whereever there is use of of IT so as to save the space requirement of growing poulation.
Healthcare:Every hospital/dispensary( Govt/Private) should be e-enabled with a good pathological backup so that most of the routine diseases can be attended at the dispensary/district hospital level and the pathological reports can be transmitted to specialist/super specialists for consultation.
The accident /emergency cases should not involve Police at the beginning of treatment /saving the life of the affeted person.
There should be Reuse and Recycle of different materials for sustainable development.
There are many other issues which can be innovatively solved to affect the "SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT" more

Yes . The water and power would be the main comodity for every one to concern . I do accept for the suggestions given by Mr MAHESJI for dual system of water supply in rural and as well as urban . As our PM Mr Modiji has told even during electiion campaign and in the first speach after victory that the new government's priority focus would be Water and Power and we feel he should give priority for the same from day one. Maheshji i absolutely agree with all of your points. Especially Water and Power are genuine points which are required by every Individual and a proper plan and execution should be implemented taking into consideration of the aspect. Solar and wind power plants should be constructed so that the involvement of water for the production of energy can be avoided and the water can be used for drinking and for agricultural processes.Solar is another area where Govt can implement in States where actually there is lack of water. more
Mahesh ji u r right. Water is going to be a scarce commodity and massive awareness campaign initiatives such as rain water harvesting, drip irrigation, sprinkler systems etc. to be made compulsory. The green initiatives like Solar power, Wind energy to be promoted on massive scale and made affordable.Availability of community cooking in the interiors with solar can be useful to community. For hygiene provision of toilets in interior areas and public to be provided. The river integration scheme lying in cold storage for over five decades due to political interests to be implemented on priority basis which will save enormous amount of money being spent year after year due to either flood relief or water scarcity. Urgent steps to build modern cold storage's/ silos for grain storage and well coordinated system to monitor 1st IN 1st out and no wastage of food grains or fruits/vegetables. The thoughts are no rocket science are well known only strong determination to implement without any political vested interests is need of the hour. more
