While developing cities, there are several factors to be looked into before suitable town plans are made. They are: 1) Topography of the land. 2) Population and spread of the population. 3) Infrastructure of all sorts. 4) Specially in cities located across the seashores, the tidal waves are to be studied so that in the event of a flash flood, the storm water drains have adequate capacity to drain that out to the sea even at the time of high tides. This means the storm water are to be emptied deep into the sea. 5) The type of buildings. We should avoid high rises in the thickly populated areas; instead think of spreading and extending the city farther so that there is no problem with infrastructure. 6) The roads should be wide enough not only in the main area but also in the areas abutting the human inhabitation so that they can move out quickly in the event of an emergency to safer places. 7) At such times, we can not think of moving people across the sea line but will have to depend on the highways. One should study whether the existing infrastructure are good enough in such an eventuality. 8) We should also have a communication system which can not fail in such an eventuality. 9) There should be local committees in each area who should be able to rise to the occasion and take decision in the best interest of that locality. 10) The drains should always be kept free flowing with garbage collection and disposal becoming an important function of the local authorities. more

The rule of 3 R's is reuse, recycle, recover. If we have garbage recycling facilities run by municipalities, such crime against the society will reduce drastically. Sometimes flood cleans up the garbage, unfortunately the innocent people and animals suffer. more

No. No one is ready because, if any disaster happens due to natural calamity or man made like spread of epidemic, state governments asks central to assist by way of funds. Out of the funds received, majority will be billed for looting. Only left out will be distributed among for example dead as Rs. 5 lakhs. Rs. 50,000-00 for seriously injured, and Rs. 10,000-00 for minor injured. This has become day to day menace in our country. In addition to central funds, public contribution, corporates and salary class give 1 day salary. It will be a boon for concerned. Unless public involve and take action bypassing court guidance, nothing will happen. Take judging people, they are in the list of corruption. Some one's name is rejected by head of state, etc. HAVES can buy the justice. HAVEN'Ts should suffer. No end for it. We, voters take bribe, saree, TV, fridge, cash, etc Snd elect them. We last the right to question. Everything must come and go through PIL it case and they buy the justice. Regards more
