Public are slowly getting aware of the problem, but the local authorities support in implementation is lagging. more

The Central and almost all State governments give a lot of attention to the roads but very little to the drains. The drains remain heavily silted and inundated with sullage and industrial wastewater posing serious threat to public health. Moreover, flooding occurs after the very first shower because of this condition, nearby structures are damaged and accidents occur claiming lives of animals and children. Segregation of sewers and storm water drains is essential to see that the storm water drains are dry and clean during dry weather. Covering the storm water drains to get space for parking or market is fraught with eventual clogging of the drain and the risk of accidents of a serious nature. more

All the 13 points are Urban and semi urban related .We have not projected anything for the rural area. Alost 40% of our population dwell in rural area. Therefore that is required to be addressed. more
