I agree with Asha D'Souza,wet garbage to be collected door to door daily and dry waste every Sunday ,as is being done in our locality.Also what MrRao says is correct,that it is difficult for the garbage vehicle to stop infront of houses as vehicles are parked.So the garbage vehicle should stop at any convenient spot on each road,and one helper should go to each house,collect and dump the same into the truck and move on to the next street. more

first of all dry waste and wet should be segragated and kept separately. garbage collection doesnot happend at one particular time and office goers will find it difficult.better we put it in one place which is covered. Garbage collecting vehicles- difficult for them move because al houses will have 1-2 cars and other verhicles occupayig most of the road space, there is no place for movement . collecting from each hous is time Consuming. more

My experience is that door-to-door collection is essential because whenever waste is thrown in roadside bins, animals create a big mess around them. Wet and insanitary waste should be collected daily and dry waste once a week. more
