Swachh Ranking is a farce, well mostly

While I agree that Indore is the cleanest city, for a lot of other cities the rankings are being gamed. Noida has poor garbage management. Parks have stray dogs everywhere. Every sector (almost) in Noida for instance has trash heaps yet you say its rated number 1. The agencies on the ground doing this survey are likely being manipulated my urban local body officials. Please fix this mess and do this survey properly Swachh Bharat.

Otherwise it has no value more

I agree that due diligence should be done and after rankings are announced, lower ranking cities/municipalities be asked to prepare time bound programmers for improving. This should be monitored by Govt/social media and citizens. more
But still the Cities are not learning any lesson to improve cleanliness. We do not have any importance of Labor, unless this is imbibed, we can not improve. For example, why can't Mumbai start two times sweeping and removing Garbage. If they start Night Service that will be more Result oriented and Faster. Streets and Footpaths can be sweeped during night. more
They are doing this to show UP as a progressive state, which it is not by any standards... more
Yes.Most likely some cities in top 20 have certain urban spaces which are not maintained. The task agencies do not resort to get people oriented surveys along with their site inspection more
The same problem in chandigarh. It's a case of figure among ciphers. more
