Few suggestions. 1. For unorthodox ,Modern Ganesh Bhakt : One can immerse सुपारी, bittel nut., since in all poojas like Satya Narayan, Gurujis use bittel nut as a symbol of Ganeshji. Let us apply same logic to Eco friendly Ganesh Visarjan too. Many friends of mine who live abroad cannot drop soil flowers, garlands in river, water resources. They are immerse bittel nut. 2. For those who worship conventional Ganeshj murti, they can use 10-12 literally warm water, dissolve half kilogram baking soda or less amount washing soda or half kilogram washing powder like Nirma . It will be sufficient for Visarjan of 2 to4 household small idols.. But dilute the content next morning with 5-6 buckets of normal water & use it to water trees. Caution do not use more than 3-4 liter diluted contents for one tree. 3.Suggestion for Next year & years to come. Please use plain clay from garden, make yourself or let your kids make Ganeshji not larger than 3-4 inches that is 70-100millimeter tall. Paint it red with haladi/turmeric powder & little soap water. As per our Pauranik kathas, Ganeshji had become red hot due to either war with demon Sindura soor or during continuous writing Puranas. He was worshipped with Durvankur to remove undue body heat & to please him. Let us start some greenery by planting durvankur & maintain it to dedicate our own grown durvankur to Ganeshji. more
