Swachhata a broader perspective
Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan can be more effective if we do not keep it limited to sweeping but include all related activities like:
Avoid use of plastics as carry bags, Maximise Plantation both at home and public places, Increase Use of wastebins everywhere and use different wastebins for organic and inorganic materials, Encourage proper management and recycling of wastes by civic authorities, Use unconventional energy incl. Solar energy and Gas and reduce use of Petrol and Diesel, Make drains wherever waterlogging takes place and ennsure their regular cleaning, Ask factories to filter exhausts, both liquid and gas, before releasing, use new technologies to reduce noise from engines, generators etc. even at domestic areas and many more. All these have close connection with Swachhata of the environment. more

All this will happen faster, if our elected representatives are honest and educated........so please do it.......... Form a Local Circle in your city " PROFESSIONALS FOR CITY" .to replace politicians by Professionals in Civic Boy. Form groups of 4 to 10 persons in each ward and select a good well educated person to be the representative of that ward in next civic election. At present we don’t bother for Municipal elections, we just put our stamp on a candidate selected by Politicians. On the contrary people of the area should choose an honest well educated person and talk about him in your Ward. Let him contest and Win the election. When such persons will sit in Civic Body...you get answer to your concern. more
