https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/india-sweets-consumption-survey

It very accurately reflects the situation. Many people old and young in India cant live without their biscuits, daily dose of sweets and icecreams/chocolates

We are addicted to sugar and somehow need to find a way out of sugar consumption.

Anyone who has done that successfully may please share how. more

Chromium, as a supplement, controls sugar craving. Certain yogas can control sugar craving as well - Child Pose, Low Lunge, Downward Facing Dog, Backbends, Forward bends, Humble warrior, warror-2, boat pose, surya namaskar, meditation, pranayam(kapal bhati, anulom-vilom). Take more fiber in the form of veggies, drink more water. Switch to alkaline diet. Sugar and oil are acidic in nature. Take butter milk, lemon.Make yogic tea - add jeera, cinnamon, clover, pepper, cardamom to water, heat and drink. More visceral fat(abdominal fat) and toxins in your body, the more you crave for sugar. Please detoxify first - drink hot water, veggies without oil. more
Because of Stuffy conditions & Pollution , causes cough & breathing problems , so we have cut down on sugar & Oily stuff . For tea we take it sugar free , or where necessary substitue Gur or Jaggery more
Parental guidance / control, social media and advertisement info, etc. will help motivate people to break the sugar addiction but at the end self discipline is what works! more
Looking at the products in the market, the hidden consumption of sugar is mind boggling. Even items which you think as not being sweet have added sugar. The consumption of sugar in moderate quantities (less than 5 gms a day) should be safe for the average individual. However, packed foods contain added sugar which drives up the intake phenomenally. Our body simply doesnt need sugar beyond a point. Excessive sugar or any food that coverts to sugar in teh body will only boost other ailments. Moderation is the key. more
