WITH THE PROLONGED WINTER SEASON, SNOWFALL ON MOUNTAINS AND RAIN IN MANY PARTS OF COUNTRY SWINE FLU SPELL HAS ALSO PROLONGED. NOW BIRD FLU IS KNOCKING THE DOOR. IT WILL HAVE ITS OWN PROBLEMS. WE WILL HAVE TO GEAR UP FOR THE SAME. more
Every year we have one or other epidemic in our country. The government has almost similar reaction every year with the traditional mind set of health department completely leaning towards allopathy. This year was different. One advertisement of AYUSH was published in newspapers on preventing swine flu with simple home made Kadhas of Kachhi haldi ( raw turmeric), black pepper, Ginger and many such items found in every household rich or poor. The fact is these homemade remedies are completely effective in preventing and treating cold, cough, fever and related diseases including all types of influenzas. These have no side effects unlike allopathy in which the most benign medicine like Paracetamol have proven side effects. The children are the worst affected by allopathy. As a result of allopathy for simple problems like cough, cold and fever they start developing chronic diseases. So please do not stop at just one advertisement of AYUSH. Please popularise the affordable and common remedies. more
I am intrigued to see the skimpy information on Swine Flu by the Department of Health - Government of Delhi Administration. They have provided information only on H1N1 and which many of us know. Who will educate the masses on H3 N2 and H3N2v viruses. Is it not their call to do a detailed research and look into ways how to combat it. It really is pathetic and a poor show by the Department of Health. We have only about 36 centres in Delhi for testing. Is that sufficient for the population of Delhi. I think our Government Departments should wake up and tighten up. Regards, Ravi more
