Swings in local melas and otherwise
Yesterday a spinning wheel swing came crashing down injuring many children and adults in Mohali. See attached.
I humbly request that BIS forms mandatory standards for these swings and they should not br operated without the due certification.
Problem is 100 good rides and then 1 bad. Is unsafe entertainment really worth it??

Good cause. However Authorities will not be able to control authentic certification due to bribery and corruption. more

every one will escape under some pretext or other but people who have suffered to died no one will be bothered and unless we ourselves have to take care about it.There has to be a safety audit of such systems and in front of where it is operating it should be displayed with the person who has audited and given the responsibility more

A safety audit and certification is must before put to public use and most importantly the adequate load. No overloading. more

Certification can help if licences are issued to only such registered operators of these swings/ play-structures, who have to abide by certain strict rules and reguilations, including a BIS standard which the relevant government bodies should immediately put their minds to such tasks; greiviously missing otherwise! more
