At those sugars I wont call you a prediabetic. I think you need a good diabetician. Have you been reading about diabetes? I suggest you do. You sound young, and I think you need to take this more seriously. If you need any help, Dr Saumya Mittal Physician and Diabetician 9873711878 more
Thanks Dr. Mittal for noticing this. To answer your query, the running blood sugar fluctuates between 180-220 fasting. About 6 months ago, I did some tests and saw an alarming 250 fasting. So consulted a doctor who prescribed (1) Geminor M 1 - OD, empty stomach and (2) Voglinorm M 0.2 OD after breakfast and also asked me to make some lifestyle changes (which unfortunately, I haven't been able to do much). The medicines I continue regularly, but as late as 2 weeks back, the fasting sugar was around 220. Diet wise, I don't take any sugary stuff except very very rarely a piece or so (sweets, sugar in beverages, sweet fruits, etc, are out). I take ice-cream occasionally though. I drink a can or two of beer weekly and on rare social occasions, take a peg or two of vodka or rum. Exercise wise, given I go to office at 7:30 am and reach back around 9 pm, I hardly have time to do any exercise - even after trying to do something, I haven't been successful yet! I know it's all me and my motivation doctor, but it has been a battle I have been losing till now. Please help! Thanks, Indranil more
