TataDocomo Landline guys advertised their NeweCentrex 350 7580PoolPlan as Re.0.75/180secs for local calls to landlines and Re.0.80/60secs for std calls to landlines but charging Rs.1.80/60secs for std calls to landlines and say that is the correct tariff. I am fighting with them for the past 4 weeks to get his corrected. In this day of free unlimited voice calls by Jio, isn't this a day-light robbery? more
Dr Vijaykumar: I appreciate your patience. H ow did you ever calculate the 'per call' rate..? Assuming YOU DID - it is very a difficult terrain to contest .!!.. I can only advise you to write to them the details and get the "call charge details " in writing or even by email before taking up the matter further by hiring a decent Criminal Lawyer and file a case. Be informed that all Telcos - be they private or public like bsnl or mtnl, CHEAT. It is simply because the 'enforcing Body (TRAI) SLEEPS' and is full of Lazy, Discarded, and Most Incompetent set of Officers, whose main job is to 'appease their bosses' and collect their Fat Salaries every month. Thus, your job is to take it up in a Consumer court or file a Criminal Case for CHEATING ON TATA DOCOMO ( while filing your case please do not forget to demand due Compensation for Cheating, Mental Agony, Legal Costs and Damages). more
Shri Harpal Singh, i think that the meter should and start ticking only when the receiver picks up the call. I am sure that thas always been and is the system with BSNL, Airtel, Idea and other phone providers. I think that is how it should be with TATA Docomo also. I suggest that ShriVijayakumar Tawker does take up this matter with the consumers forum and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. more
Mr. Kaushik, You are clubbing together a number of situations. I have yet to come across a situation where the call duration starts ticking before the called person picks up the phone. Please do not give wrong and confusing information. I am using phones for over 50 years . more
The tata name has nothing to do with this company in practice. They sent me a wrong bill to me, a team of 5 people came from the company, agreed with the mistake, and settled in total the outstandings. Now I am served a legal notice by the company for collecting back the outstandings which the company itself agreed is wrong! This is a strange company where no department talks to any other department and they are a communications company. I am a senior citizen and thii legal notice, in spite of my reply to them pointing out the entire episode from them is mental harassment to me. I have decided to face this legal notice sqarely. Please beware of any dealings with this company which completely flouts the Tata culture we are all aware off. more
