But it is beneficial for brokers not for public. It is practical, If you are on the ticket counter then you can see many more peoples of broker's is in the line for tickets. He used to talk in abusive language. He give his identity that no body can oppose during ticketing. One more things, ticket counter man also support him. more

Yes, It is a welcome move. Railways has to accept attested proof while traveling. There is a possibility of missing original proof while traveling. more

But I think the basic intention behind insisting on Identity proof was to put the brokers / agents at bay because they can book any number of tickets either at counters or online. Now yet again the old system has been revived which will break the backs of common citizens. more
