In my opinion tax evasion is not a new culture. It is being evaded since olden times. As the time passes new methods come in light. The tax evasion is due to all corruption. The tax officer visit the location and they ask for the money. This means that tax payer also think about saving the money through not paying the tax. If the tax collector is honest then the trader will feel pride and he will be ready to pay more tax. The tax collector itself make aware about the method as to how the tax may be avoided because he wants to target more money through this method. So Government should think how to monitor the tax people. I shall suggest that Government should made all sales compulsory on line. Government servant should not be allowed to visit the shop or places to trading. Let the tax collection be allowed on line. Second source of tax evasion is the CA who tell all the method to trader and lieu he get the handsome money. Our political masters and Hon'ble Ministers should have political will power to eradicate corruption. If they are sincere, every thing will run smoothly. Ram Yadav. more

I will totally agree by Mr. Tayal and say that This exercise is not a real effort towards curbing Tax evasion. We all know that this is duty of us citizen to ask for bills and receipts which we always avoid unless we have to make claim. I need to take medical claims so I never forget to take bills from medical practitioners or medical shops but I always shrug to take a valid receipt from any other purchase since I have to pay tax on the bill. Also Government is not bothered to check if a particular shop is issuing proper bill for sells?Almost always a shopkeeper uses a duplicate bill which can be caught by Government agencies. There is always a blame on taxation department for their taking bribe, but we should not forget that we pay bribe since we commit some mistake and needs to hide our deeds. One of surest way of stopping this practice could be avoiding use of cash. The government should give some kind of tax benefit to buyer like us who uses epayments in place of cash. more

This exercise is an eyewash, as taxation deptts under Delhi Govt know all the reasons and in fact to an extent are themselves responsible for leakage of revenue. It seems naïve on the part of AAP rep to ask general public for every small issue. Besides the way the list is compiled shows utter ignorance & incompetence on the part of AAP rep. He is talking about high rates of VAT and bills not issued by doctors & lawyers. This is height of stupidity as (a) Service Tax is a Central Govt revenue and has nothing to do with State (Delhi) Govt. (b) As per law Doctors are anyway exempt from Service Tax. As regards VAT, everyone knows GST is coming in less than a year which will subsume VAT. I have earlier also pointed out this AAAP rep (on localcircles forum) is either a fraud or an unauthorized rep as he keeps wasting members time & mindspace with such useless posts. I plan to complain to localcircles administrators. more

payments should be insisted thru card /cheques for cash less system. Practise of charging 2% for card payments should be dispensed with.Banks should work out a scheme for encouraging customers in making payments thru card more
