Tax on share trading

It is beyond my understanding as to how so many taxes are paid by the trading community. Whether there is gain or loss in the market the tax remains the same and there is no respite for the trader.
List of taxes to the government kitty from the trades:

1.Turnover Charges
2. Service Tax
3. Stamp Charges
4. Sebi Charges
5. STT
6. Edu.Tax
7. Higher.Edu.Tax (and we get get in lieu of this tax scholars fighting with the government and asking for azadi)

It is high time the share brokers and share traders present their case before the government as ask for the revision.

There should only be one tax, similar to GST or by whatever name and should be linked to the profit made by the trader. No one would mind paying the tax if he/she is gaining from the transaction. Short term gain/LTG income tax is gladly paid by those who earn. more
