Dear all..... This day I received one "what's app message" from an association. I am reproducing it as it is and you all can have a look at it. "Opinion of a civilian ! Hits the nail on the head ! Dear PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, Namaskar. Make this change and we will recognize your leadership Lifetime pension accorded for one tenure of politicians - is gross injustice to the rest of the government servants who have put in a minimum of 20 years of service, this is a drain on the public exchequer. No one has been able to explain to me why young men & women who serve in the Military for 20 years or more, risking their lives protecting your freedom only get 50% of their pay on retirement & Short Service Commissioned Officers who also risk their life for a term varying from 5-14 yrs - get ZERO retirement benefits after their assignment. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these very same men & women, receive Full-Pay on retirement after serving just one term of 5 yrs. Does it make any sense ? PM SIR, CHANGE THIS AND THE NATION SHALL BE GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID. Abolish, politician pension for life. As such they are above averagely rich people. Just like you motivated common people to give up subsidy, motivate MPs to give up many perks granted unanimously by themselves, but undeservingly exorbitant, including pension. May we hope it starts with yourself. If each person who receives this forwards it to 20 people, in 3 days, most people will have this message, and may it become a national campaign. "If you choose not to pass it on, you still have made a choice. These brave soldiers have given you that right! Jai HIND! " more
Taxes are meant to be utilised for the welfare of the Public and not to Pay neither 7th Pay nor MLA/MP salaries nor to do the Black money. more
Taxes are good as long as they are utilised for development of the public facilities, and not for paying 7th Pay salaries to the babus or for their commissions! more
Mr. Yash , There is nothing wrong eating out once in a way. If you feel Rs. 622 was beyond what you expected [lucky you had money , card] consider the following choices : One good solution is from Sri ram . I follow him . Before when they bring the menu card ask them if the cost NET [ that is tax included ] . The poor waiter will not know , so call the manger and ask him what net cost . Find out what tax structure they follow , as the rates differ for different star hotes. Identify and choose your star hotel to suite yourpurse or psyche. Thirdly, when you eat out don't let the the hotels get into your heart through your stomach. The amount os 420 will attract a tax of rs. 60.9 @ 14.5 vat . the next vat of 20 % is on the Rs. 60.9 that will work out to be Rs. 12.18 . The total should be 493.08. If you think you have been cheated of more than 125 rupees , produce the bill [if you don't have eat agin and take a bill ] and trap the hotel. I like to have the opinion of the other more experinced in this matter. more
Government by not educating the businessmen to properly collect the tax from public are making the general public to face harassment. Let the price in the menu list include the price after tax and the government ensure that all taxes are deposited properly. more
