Taxi aggregators surge pricing loot

LocalCircles taxi aggregator survey was brilliant and it captured who drivers take consumer for a ride. However media seems to have given much more attention to driver cancelling ride and little to surge pricing.

Just for everyone’s info these companies are misleading and charging surge pricing.

Like last night my wife was travelling fare show was 270 at beginning of ride. When she reached in the same time as projected she was charged 400+
They have started levying surge on every ride in traffic time though they know the traffic pattern and enough taxis were available

Govt must take action. I will be ok if they show 400 and I accept upfront. This is also Dark Pattern of Drip Pricing if I understand right more

What is more regrettable is App taxies upon accepting a ride, they keep a raider in abeyance. After few minutes waste, they cancel the ride. Taxies are, thogh private they sre public transport and it is the requirement of both raider and the taxi owner. No body can denay on this front, as such behavior puts a raider in inconvenience. To over come sucj beheavior of App taxies in south India "" NAMMA AUTO AND TAXI' introduced by different individual players. No commission payable to agent no surge and cancellation etc. as of now. Let such convenience be introduced everywhere. more
Honestly I use Uber regularly, and I haven't faced such issue. If for some unknown reason, there is addition in price, the same is refunded if support case is raised. more
Ajay Dutta and give me the argument? On the great day for the country you sir have no reasoning why I am wrong and still hold socialist thinking. Please go educate yourself with law of economics. more
Once again you are a socialist thinking person. Who are you to tell a private company how much to charge? If you can't afford it don't use the service but please stop calling price hike a loot. It makes no sense. It is called "free market". more
Rohini u are wrong on this one more
