Telescopic fare for IRCTC booking
This is related to telescopic train fare for those who books tickets through irctc web site. The telescopic fare is the ticket which passenger booked for on word journey. In other way if I have to go to Kolkata from Bhopal Via Nagpur than I have to book 2 separate ticket i.e. one from Bhopal to Nagpur & other from Nagpur To Kolkata for this we have to pay more than the passenger booked ticket from reservation window. a thousands of passenger are booking there reservation ticket through IRCTC web site & paying more money than the passenger who are booking tickets from ticket windows.
It is requested to our Honorable Rly Minister to look into this matter & provide Telescopic Fare benefit for onward journey to the passengers making reservation through only. this will encourage more & more peoples to book there reservation tickets online rather making rush on the window.
It is requested to all the members of the circle to write the same request to Honorable Rly Minister for the benefit of Indian Railway Passengers more

Mr.Dixit has raised a very valid issue.I think the software for this is an obstacle.I feel this can be overcome if Rlys find a way by issuing an Unreserved ticket first on line and user using this ticket for onward journey. Cancellations can be done as per extant rules. more
