Telescopic fares

Now a days telescopic fares has been discontinued for ac3t and above classes.
I understand this has been done to increase revenue only.
But this step is creating a lot of problems and inconveniences especially for long travel journey. It creates a lot of problems, where there is no seat reservation, or a passenger is to travel in unwanted train.
If this is only to increase revenue, there are many a other methods, that I can inform. more

It is not fair on the part of government organisation to continue with telescopic fares. Shall be scrapped at once. more
Piyush goel is making cunnig ideas to remove concession to Sr.citizens.He should have stopped corruption in Railway to increase surplus.corruption has increased instead of claim of clean and transparent adminstration more
The demand made is perfectly justified. In fact, in consistence with expected transparency in their business operations, the IR should always issue a self contained press release before discontinuing a facility that affects very significant number of the users. more
Already railways are earning revenue by increasing the advance booking from one month to four months. Who will give them a interest-free loan for four months, otherwise, running to crores of rupees? Also since people cannot plan so well in advance, they end up cancelling, which fetches them as much as from rupees 65 to any where to over two hundred per person. Even for a ticket meant for six persons, where the clerical charges should remain one for a ticket, happens to be six for a ticket. Are these (un)ethical methods not fertching revenue? more
Telescopic fares have to be there for all connecting trains and for all classes of journey. Benefits to passengers have to be increased and should not be reduced. Railway fare increase is always there periodically. So, benefits have to be increased more and more. Ultimately, all people should enjoy all benefits equally. Integral development is must. more
