Television media now losing credibility

Almost all private TV channels in different languages, (numbering several hundreds) are now owned by political parties, politicians, business men or religious bodies.

On any subject, even before opening TV , we can guess on which they would support.
Is there any way to make the TV media independent and honest ?
Can we bring some restrictions on the ownership pattern of TV media ?
Can we have censorship for TV media to find out the paid and motivated news ?

Almost all private TV channels in different languages, (numbering several hundreds) are now owned by political parties, politicians, business men or religious bodies... They are running the Govt. We may conduct a survey on all India basis and present our findings to the GOI to open the eyes of these powerful lobbies. more
If people feel a particular channel is not airing reliable information, channel should be removed from selection of channel. If we continue they presume that we like it. Unless we express what we like how they will be checked? more
Constitutional Authorities like Executive and Judiciary MUST REGULATE SINCE IT IS THE ISSUE OF NATION AND WHOLE SOCIETY LIVING IN . more
Make it mandatory to show the owners/sponsors of the channel & also their political leaning on a strip appearing at regular intervals . more
It is already called Godi media . Change in ownership pattern will hardly make any difference as long as the ruling parties behave in the manner as they do . Media is doing what it has been told to do . Otherwise face the music . So better to switch off all and be at peace . more
