Terrible Incident where is GRP RPF

My father in law is a member of these circles and regularly uses to give input to improve railways.

After the incident where family of 10 muslims were assaulted yesterday in the passenger, my question to Rail Minister is where was RPF and GRP?

Are these forces there to just collect bribes for seating people in general dabba and for hawkers to sell to passengers or will they work on our and rail safety.

Do respond sir and show you are responsible leaders for it could be any of your relatives next time.

Railway should find ways and means to stop attack on passengers, whoever it may be. more
It is indeed horrible crime committed on the innocent rail passengers. No civilised society must ever tolerate such heinous crimes. The Government and the Railways Administration must take stringent steps to nab the culprits and must also ensure that such instances are never repeated anywhere to anyone. One should not play politics and look such crimes on the prism of religious identity of the victims or other narrow considerations but see this as sign of deteriorating law and order problems in the society and irresponsible guarding of passengers by the RPF. Immediate deterrent actions are warranted to bring the criminals before the law. more
Though the railways claim of having adequate number RPF & GRP jawans, they are always found absent in trains and even if they are, they are found remaining busy in ensuring their personal comfort & interests rather than caring for the passengers. Therefore, expecting these people rushing for any kind of help during emergency would only increase our sufferings. While we all wholeheartedly denounce such attacks and barbarism and console the sufferers for early recovery, its only a sporadic incident by some unsocial elements and could happen against any one. It is the media which spread rumours and misunderstandings among different communities followed by the politicians and the so called intellectuals who use such opportunities to increase vote banks and acceptability in societies as pragmatic and secular. The government should review the freedom allowed to the media keeping the nation's interests, integrity and internal image in mind. more
God forbid any such treatment being meted out to Ranjit or his family or dear ones, however sporadic and after muffling the freedom of press which is doing yeomen duty cast upon the fourth estate. more
The RPF guards always move around in a group. Why cant each RPF personal be allotted 2 or 3 compartments to keep guard? I guess they have walky talkies to communicate between themselves. The are a couple of numbers for complaints from running train. They should be displayed prominently at many places in every compartment. The message should ask for feedback on every service like 1)water availability in toilets and basin, 2) Working of flush / Taps , 3) Availability of Hand wash Soap in reserved compartments, 5) Availability of Towel proper, clean bed sheets etc in AC compartments. 6) Quality and service of food, 7) Presence of T.T., RPF and availability of other attendants in the Compartment. The traveler on the train must be able to register a complaint by SMS / WAPP / voice. The receiving cell must not only acknowledge but also follow up with the guard / In-charge of the train who in turn must communicate withe the person on the train as soon as possible. The grievance cell should not only ensure immediate action but also action against staff who are found wanting. Thus if the water has not been filled in a compartment at the scheduled station, it must get filled at the next station as a special case. The T.T. or RPF personal may be contacted if their attention is required. And this should happen within a few minuets. If not disciplinary action should be taken foe negligence. To me the RPF in group seem to be on the prowl for creating mischief rather than preventing it. more
We have become a fragmented society and do not hesitate to give it colour of caste, creed and religion.Let us not forget that what is applicable to one today. would be equally applicable to others tomorrow. Let us air a grievances without impating unnucessary hues to them more
