THANKS RAILWAYS for UPDATING THE BOOKING SOFTWARE

At last all seeking Lower berth or any choice of berth can let a sigh of Relief.

Yes our long pending appeals to update the IRCTC booking Software has been heeded to. One extra column is added after the choice of berth ; it says yes if your choice of berth is going to be allotted. Great , I tested 3 time all 3 times I got the affirmative flash . Only now we need to pay for the ticket . We were all banging our heads for this and only this. If no is flashed we can go for other options like a different class, different date or different train.

TherE has been one more Appeal pending fr a long time :

AVOID CAPTIVE CATERING AS DONE IN SHATABDI AND RAJDHANI .LEAVE THE CHOICE TO THE ESTEEMED PASSENGER TO AVOID NEVER ENDING COMPLAINTS. more

But only on the 20th of this month, I got three reservations for September,2017 but in all the three cases, IRCTC allotted the berths just reverse of my choice and prior to final bookings no indication about availability of my berth of choice was flashed. more
It is good that Railways can provide Lower birth especially to Senior citizens and handicaps. However, they can prefix the cabin in which these seats are provided, then accordingly the corresponding bath room on that side for one they may provide English or commode type pot. This will help the senior citizens to walk the minimum distance. more
This, indeed, is a very helpful step, especially for the senior citizens and I too join others in complimenting the Railways for implementing this long pending demand from the passengers. more
Sir can you please share screenshot. I have not been able to find any such option. more
