The burnt `roti’
My grandson asked me “Daadu, aren’t you angry at daadi for this burnt roti?” I said “Your daadi has worked all day, and must be tired…and I love a burnt roti”.
Later on, my grandson again asked “Do you really love a burnt roti, daadu?” I said “Everyone makes mistakes…and then a little burnt roti doesn’t hurt anyone!”
In the field of eye care, many persons with weak sight, in all age groups, resent wearing spectacles simply because of the fear as to what `others will say’. And, this fear of others’ comment needs to be overcome in the interest of their own visual welfare. more
