The Death of a School Girl Student & TV discussion

There was a TV discussion on the death of that Silver Oaks school girl student death in TV5. I appreciate very much the initiative. The Coordinator Mr. Sambasivarao is a gentleman and a good moderator. I have gone through the participants submissions. I am glad that all the panel members mentioned the important players and their role. They broadly put the players into two.1.Parents.2.Teachers & Schools. The Police official who participated came out with a good and another solagan" Vombined Social Responsibility". This is very correct and how far in these days that is possible. The police officers suggestion belongs to the age of epics and now not practical.,

All the panelists have forgotten one important player in the whole gory episode who is not playing his due and responsible role. That is state Govt. and local bodies. The state Govts. have abdicated their social responsibility to run good schools where discipline is a corner stone and inspections by the Educational officers used to be a check on the system. If at all anybody has to be booked under criminal negligence and dereliction of duty and abdication of responsibility it is the Govt. of the day. The ministers instead of feeling ashamed of their failure they join the chorus of the public and express their anguish and emotions to divert the issues.

Friends, we are all paying local taxes, direct taxes and indirect taxes which run into at least 40% of our earnings. We have Govt. looting the taxpayers' money in the name of infrastructure and other civil works with contractors bills and commissions.

Unless the citizens raise their voice and demand the basic facilities like education and health this swallowing of public money will not stop and our children continue to suffer the risks to their lives in private schools whose very motive is to earn and make the students adopt a falsehood and dubious lives in the name of freedom and intensive education to pub culture.

I request you all elders just think a while, whether such a thing is thinkable during your school days that what had happened to the poor innocent girl. Also ponder whether that boy alone could have resorted to such a crime without the involvement of any other? There is more to come in the investigation.

Unless a good Govt. school and quality education by Govt. employed teachers is there, this type of juvenile crimes are going to happen and the society has to pay a costly price. No headmaster or teacher can keep a watch on all individual students. No parents can have a watchful eye all the while on the children without inviting the curse of restrictions and not giving freedom. No police one to one watch on every citizen is possible. It is the quality education and Govt. teachers teachings and classmates alone can avoid such incidents. more

Give knowledge to the children about how and why .They will become responsible more
In the olden days we were not allowed to move freely with boys. We were always advised to bring the boy/girl home and share time together. Don't mean to be a prude but see what happens when freedom to move about gets us. Girls and boys move together because it is a done thing and if prevented they are branded as stuck-up or old fashioned. Taking a lesson from what is happening these days, parents should keep an eye on their ward's doings but in a sensitive way. more
We used to have friends of opposite sex, It never used to occur in mind to move with them away from school and home. But we used to visit their houses and vice-versa, with the knowledge of elders. more
I fully endorse your views.. more
