THE HINDU MARRIAGE LAWS (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2013

Respected Members,

I would like to draw your kind attention to the THE HINDU MARRIAGE LAWS (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2013 (Bill No. XLI-C of 2010). This was a matter of great debate in the year 2013. Even though it was passed in Rajya Shabha on August 26, 2013, according to my knowledge, it has not yet been in effect, so far.

Hindu Marriage act has been rectified by many social reformers like Raja Rammohon Roy, Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and that is how Hindu religion has undergone through many stages of evolution. This is how everything changes in this dynamic world as the mother nature is. Keeping pace with the ever changing and dynamic world, if the Hindu acts are not amended properly to fit into the needs of the common people, then it will be backdated and the Hindu people and the society will be adversely affected. I request you to kindly enlighten me in thus regard so that we, the Hindus by birth and belief, feel proud to be Hindu.

I look forward to your kind cooperation and help in thisthen regard.

With best regards,

Braja Gopal Bag
