The hotel loot across India

Many hotels in India have decided to recover all the losses from 2020 and 2021 in 2023 and have started pricing rooms at abnormally high levels.

Why is there no hotel regulator in the country to ensure consumers are not being excessively profiteered upon. The higher category the hotel higher are the instances of profiteering.

At least some control is needed. more
For many income does not rises with rising Inflation. This is wrong. Income must increase with rising Inflation. more
Government can control everything. Inflation is one of the main reasons for price increase. Look at the price of cooking gas.petrol etc. Look at the recent rise in Electricity rates in Karnataka. Look at your own salary levels. We complain of hotels and airfares which are not essentials. Can you imagine the plight of the poor who struggle to put food on the table. Prices of everything has gone up. more
one cannot creat regulation for each and every thing.Based on our budget we need to select where we want to stay .There are lot of hotels in all cities catering to all segments of people so create competition among themselves so that price regulation will automatically happen. more
why regulator for every thing. it is free market . dont use you can not afford. Did you helped any one when business was down more
If that is the case then why petrol and disesel prices are not reduced for last 1 year though the international price for petrol has come down by 33% in last year...now the culture in our country is that rich people/corporate can do any thing without any obstacle and poor people have to accept.Same is the case of flight fare, train tatkal tickets has been increased and cancellation charges are being charged abnormally.
Please dont give absurd logic.....instead accept that injustice is allowed officially now that too ballatantly. more
