THE LIKE OF THE RESOURCE POST OF Mr. ANSARI , THOUGH APPEARING FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME, HAS GENERATED

MOST USEFUL COMMENTS :

I have compiled the most valuable comments from the Resource Post of Mr. Ansari for the benefit of the Rail authorities convenience :

* If required berth /seat confirmed reservation not available, as of at the time of booking There should be clear information and adequate options should be given Proceed or decline . For declining is the customers option isn’t available / unable to offer there should be no charges on the customers A/C .
*While booking a ticket, the computer should first show the allotted berth and only then proceed for payment option, so that berth complaints can be avoided.
* ALL PAID TICKETS RAC or WAIT LISTED SHOULD BE PROVIDED FOR WHAT EVER MONEY PAID
*For Failed transaction no money should be debited.
* Needs to modify the system to make it more customer friendly.
* Attention distracting Advertisement POP ups should be stopped , Instead have Help icon to be taped
* When 2 patients are allotted 1 Berth and the other R.A.C should charge only the berth allotted customer.
IF CHARGING 2 SLEEPER FARES FOR THIS CASE THEN 2 BLANKETS SHOULD BE PROVIDED .Is not a sitting passenger eligible for blanket when he/she has paid Full fare?
THE MOST IMPORTANT : INDIAN RAILWAYS NEVER BOTHER FOR COMPLAINTS AND DO NOT INTIMATE THE ACTION TAKEN.DEPARTMENT/MINISTRY/ORGANIZATION GO THROUGH THE FEEDBACK GIVEN BY CITIZENS.

The I.R. being stubborn will not the serve the purpose of Customer Needs.

No doubt in Railways being proud about its credentials of Heritage earned by the Railmen and administrators over the past 165 years. But also not forget Indian Railway is s Government organization and needs certain values distinctly different from private profit making companies. more

RAC should be abolished immediately. In case of RAC allotment in sleeper coach, 2 seats are distributed amongst 3 passenger when all 3 are paying the full amount. Is not only illogical but humiliating too. In day time the third person has to either lie on the upper birth or beg for a place to seat from fellow passenger. Also if passenger refuse to travel in RAC after the final reservation list is prepared, he should be paid back the amount. I have come across situation when each side lower birth is allotted to 2 person through whole compartment. that means 12% extra in case of a 3 tier compartment. Do IR expect 12% will cancel their journey at the last moment? more
Railways shouldn't collect money for either RAC or W.L. Tickets until confirmed berth is allotted . more
Berth no should be confirmed before payment. more
Thanks Mr. Daniel for your comments. I still favor abolishing of RAC where a passenger is charged full fare but forced to share berth with some other passengers. It is hell during night travel. Neither both can sit comfortably or sleep and bad luck is that if one of the two is a female passenger. RAC is nothing but a carrot dangling on long stick. Abolishing RAC and adding all berths to Waiting List will be much more better. more
There are certain facts the Rail authorities fail to understand. more
Good suggestion and practical. Should be implemented more
Of course, railways should be responsive and proactive when dealing with public inputs. In general, railways id delivering good service. more
