The Millennium city sinks with a one hour rain.
In June we had heard big claims by the Bureaucracy about preparatory work being done for rains. In July the secret is out about the pathetic work been done. Look at Old Gurgaon Road which resembles more like a Village unpaved Road.

I don’t know if these officers are ignorant or deaf. Roads in my area have come off completely and despite writing to every possible soul in MCG and HUDA, there is zero action in that department. On top of that they have dug-up a perfectly functional for about 3 feet on a busy intersection and have left it unattended. Street lights in my area do not work as it is, and in such situation MCG has created a hell hole for people to fall into. This is what happens when unqualified people get government jobs because of sick politics and reservations. Where is that government that promised “Good days are here to come”? What is happening with our tax money? more

This is the quality of knowledge and intentions behind that of both HUDA and MCG officials going hand in hand. Bothering mostly for their share but never bothered for their images to out world with such incidences. They are not less than Rhinos. Any stern action would be converted to agitation like Jaat and Non-Jaat and other such issues but would never be sincere to their responsibilities. more

Basically our beaurocracy is incompetent, corrupt and backward. Whether it is Town Planner, HUDA, Police administration Deptts, all are only working where they can make money. Thee is no planning or foresight. Over and above, politicians like Khattar are bunch of ***** who are not doing anything except slogan raising and changing names from Gurgaon to Gurugram. They think change of name itself will bring greatness to the city. GOD SAVE MY MOTHERLAND. more

New roads are laid without rain or storm water drains eg the Sohna road specially at the Faridabad Road junction. There are dips in the road where water collects even in a mild shower. There is plenty of land on both sides but no drain. Even if there is a drain there is raised brickwall as an edge so water collects regardless of the intensity of the rain. The only road where I have noticed good drainage is the sector road that connects HUDA City Centre to the Signature Towers end and it rarely gets water-logged because it has a cement grating right along the side that drains the water effectively and not those holes, which are in anycase choked with plastic and filth. Care has to be taken to align roads properly with a slight raise in the middle sloping to the sides to help the water drain. Old Delhi Road is a nightmare that I am grateful that I don't have to traverse on a daily basis. For that matter the Flyovers on NH8 specially Shankar Chowk have Outlets that are not connected to pipes so one drives under a series of showers right along the flyover!! No rocket science is required to set things right. Just common sense, a will to work and honesty. more
