The new Order your Meals in train !

I had booked Taj Express from New Delhi to Agra Cantt last weekend. As I hate train food, I was real excited to see the Order your Meals through railyatri.in where I can get hot food of my choice so I ordered two plates idli and one plate vada online. I got a confirmation sms and happily I and my partner started our journey without eating anything as we were going to get hot breakfast at Mathura Junction.

I suddenly got a call midway and this guy told me that vada was not available very sorry, so I told him its ok we will just take the two plates of idli.

Mathura Junction came but no food. So I called the same number and asked where is our breakfast, and to my surprise the guy cut my call.

We did not get the breakfast ordered and confirmed by the vendor. Thank God I did not pay online for the food and opted for cash.

What kind of service is this? Really Indian Railways has to pull up its socks and give good service to its customers. I was pretty upset as I and my partner were quite hungry but the vendor let us down very badly, that too after calling me up and updating on the availability of food items. more

Ms. Gloria thanks for the resource post. It has brought out a good number of suggestions . The best I like was from the like minded travelers like me . If the cuisine doesn't fit the passenger take from Home . EVEN IN SHATBDI THE CAPTIVE CATERING IS DONE WITH . more
