The railway ministry is doing well at present.Since the introduction of internet booking many a problem has been solved.When ever the rush season comes the touts and brokers play havoc.If they are chased out ,then the genuine passenger will get the ticket with out any hassles.Railway ticket reservation can be done through post offices also so that general public need not go to railway station far away and at the same time postal employees get an agent fee. more

Mr. P K Krishnan's idea of allowing post offices to issue train tickets can be considered as their reach is better and wider. more

Hi I would partially agree to the comment made which states railway is doing better. There are still many trains which run empty e.g. the Mangalore Byndoor road train train which runs empty on a daily basis. Instead of these trains running empty we can have more coaches in trains like the Vasco Hubli which have all the coaches full. more
