The hot news this morning is Paradise Papers, something that has over 714 Indians including Minister Jayant Sinha and MP RK Sinha on the list of individuals/companies with offshore accounts.
Noticeable is The Sun Group of Nand Khemka which has 100+ offshore entities and business interests in Russia and India. This group used to recruit heavily from premier MBA institutes in India paying top salaries. All of this was coordinated by a consultant firm Appleby's which is an expert in bahama carrrabean off shore entities and may have helped these people black money route it off shore. The money then through some other entities can back on shore in the form of FDI, private equity, venture capital and what not. more

As most aware these political parties are funded by corporates so it is natural connving with corporates/politicians (most politicains are also corporates ) stash unaccounted wealth in secret dens !! more

There are no reasons to believe that the government is not aware of these facts. Similarly, there are also no reasons to believe the government is sincere in keeping its promises made prior to coming to power that all the black money shifted to foreign countries will be brought back & put in nation building and that all the pro-black money generating & shifting to upcountry safe zones channels would be uprooted and closed down for ever. If it is done, where their parties will get funds from to spend thousands of crores of rupees to fight an election! Our tradition is to make all big promises as long as one is out of power but once they are crowned by the voters, they are in the chairs to forget their promises made in pre-election campaigns and handshake with the dishonest, tax evaders, people engaged in adulteration and anti-socials. There is no characteristic difference among the political parties and politicians operating in our country. more

Each and every one knows how India is ruled for more than seven decades and it has become our attitude that nothing will change this country. Just by changing the Government, everything will not change, it will take lot of time to change our public servants as well the politicians in each and every party. One PM can't do everything. Public should also know HIS limitations. If HE takes harsh decisions, all mafias will get together to pull him down irrespective of the party to which he belongs, because of one's selfishness. more

I was a banker for over 35 years. In my experience, most corporates would do any thing to shore up their bottom-lines.I have also noticed that corporates could become sick, but not the promoters.Why single out one Group? more

You are right, but somewhere we have to make the beginning to regain our original image of Clean and sincerity and erase the blot of Corrupt Nation. If political parties are also brought under the ambit of income tax and political funding is legalized I feel the problem can be solved. There should be not corporate funding but only Individual funding and for this 50% exemption be given to individuals and 50% tax be levied on political parties. more

Is the government is not aware of such malpractice or there is no means to come to know such illegal transaction ??? or the government officials are sleeping over the matter after collecting some booty. more
