The Tax exemption limit

The Tax Exemtion Limit is expected to be increased to Rs.5,00,000 from Rs.3,00,000 in case of Senior Citizen. This expectation is reasonable and also justifiable due to increase in Price Rise of essential commodities and also meagre income by Pensioners. Whereas, Govt is not seriously thinking that the welfare of Senior Citizen is taken care off. In these circumstances, the salary hike for MLA's and MPs and President and Vice President,Governors apart from the other allowances. Actually the concept of social service of these persons does not understand by the people. Slogan of these people is that they have come to public life only for serving the people and not any other purposes. The present day politicians are not thinking serving to the people instead they tried to maximise their earnings thro unfair mean and is not interested to give good governance to the people. God only can save the people from these unscrupulous persons. more

Government is yet to broaden the base for IT Collection. There are many thousands if not lakhs of people evading Income Tax. Commercial establishments however small, MUST be told not to accept cash and ALL TRANSACTIONS should be through bank ONLY.
Until the government gets credit of income tax from ALL THE TAX PAYERS, I do not think it is wise to revise the salary packages of those who are already enjoying all other facilities at the cost of common man. more
I have power and I will do whatever I like. I am the politician. My welfare my power my wealth is primarily important. Hell with the people and hell with the country. more
Way back During our services taxation was to some extent easily payable for a normal family. When a peons salary is hiked to minimum req. of living level as per cost of living every six month and pay re-fixed accordingly we gladly accept. But not the revision of Tax to higher level. I am of the opinion healthy Pensioners for living are heftily/sufficiently-paid during retirement and after for two's living. If there are more members other situations - yes they have to bare it. as that is their extra gifts. Yes, necessary is to bring "OROP". that is All are "Pensioners" only One Rank That is Pensioner. The basic requirement made necessary as salary for decent living should be paid as pension. anyhow they are taking care of the hikes and extra costs every six months at present. There are more very low paid and no payment people in Bharat. How will they meet their requirement. Like we make the Police and corporation bribing as responsible for foot-path etc., encroachments where the truth is lying the buyers or the users of the place are we and we only or the responsible. we fail being united to elect a proper person, adopt/follow a proper method and so on. Reservations, Relaxations and freebies are suppose to be provided as only a leverage for good efforts to promote the sufferings to better living and to be discontinued from certain level. Instead the same is offered every time for more better standard of living. The msg. can be more in detail. I leave it to your thinking. However let us (pensioners) who pay taxes accept the limits with a mind fortunate that they have not reduced the limit to 2,50,000....? more
Your MSg. is not understandable. Pl let me know whether you are accepting the present situation in which all pensioners and other low income groups are leading theri life with difficulty. In these circumstances, the hike in salary of President,VP,MLA's and MPs is necessary ? more
The retired persons suffer because of the interest rate cuts periodically. These people rely only on the interest from their deposits for their living. since the retired people from Govt jobs get pension and an allowance linked to the inflation, atleast the non-pensionable retirees should be offered higher fixed interest rates. more
by claiming to get exemption limit upto 5 lacs, we are only doing a shadow boxing. i dont know who requets and asks for hike in salary of MLAS AND mpS. it is done suo moto. these useless fellows sget money sitting at hom(excepting a few). this the bane of our democracy.awe neredf far reaching erlecoral reforms like: no one should contest above 65 for MLA ORml POST SO THAT THEY CONTINUE TILL 70 WHICH IS THE RIGHT AGE(OF COURSE FOR PRESIDENT VICE PRESIDENT IT CAN BE UPTO 75). NO ONE SHOULD CONTEST FOER TWO POSTS AT SAME TIME NO ONE SHOULD HOLE ANY POSITION OR OFFICE ONCE HE IS AN mla OR mp. NO ONE SHOULD HOLE OPOSITION OF mla or MP or mninister MORE THAN ONCE. if any elected meember dies be it mla or mp, then the next man who got max votes should occupuy that post irrespective of party(majaority or minority) political parties which have cast/creed affliliations should be banned. there are plenty in TN(as much as 137 parties in TN) corruuption should be fought at all. once aamnan allegation is against an officiala or MLA or MP he or she should be asked to step down irrrespective of enquiry is there or not which means they should not hold office orf hold posn till he or she is cleared,.t his will create fear in them. people should be asked and alalowed to give freely comopklaint of corruption against officials thru an email by governmernt and once it is rterceivedd, he or she should be transferred till it is proved. offices like SRO RTO COMMERCIAL TAX, CMDA, TNEB, WATER BOARD are the places where therre is cancerous growth of corruption.i am writing this out of personazl experience. unless corruption is nibbed in bud, we can never progresss more
The Politicians are not professionals and as such there should be no salary at all for them. Hence there is no question of increase in salary and pension. People in large should protest this in all forms possible. As such these Politicians are getting all there requirements free of charge from the Govt. more
