The trains running on the Konkan route looks very old most of the coaches seems to be at least 20 yrs old.i ve travelled in North India on a few sectors but the found trains to be quite good especially on the Uttaranchal route.met a railway official once and was told that though the per capita revenue generation is much higher in South india, there is a step motherly treatment for railways in South India by successive govts.the used and old coaches from northern railway is usually dumped on the Southern routes.with the new railway minister from South especially from Konkan I expect new coaches along the Mumbai -mangalore route. more

the purpose of such circles is to bring to the attention of the concerned ministries and railway officials the gripes and grouses of the travelling public. all these stated are not for the purpose of entertainment and time pass. these are true incidences, experiences and hard feelings of a junta which is being steadily ignored because it is literate and has a control on its population. if the previous ministries have not listened and improved the situation, this current ministry can start afresh and make a pleasant change so that they gain the confidence of the citizen. more
i have travelled in the first class in bihar and bengal and been dumped out by ticketless goons who then proceed to occupy all the seat spaces. when the ttr comes he too is booted out. because they represent a larger presence in the parliament, they do not pay, travel in class and the law abiding south indians get penalised, fined, frisked, abused by railway officials in south. plus they get treated the wastes from the north. more
normally parliament runs on vocal chords and hindi/bhojpuri/tamil/urdu shouted filth and muscle power. our kerala mps neither do understand hindi nor are capable of sqeaking in english and even though they know a lot of filth in malayalam, their collective voice is a mere whimper. so whether upa or bjp, the kerala situation will never improve unless we send some mumbai gali ka raja malayalees to represent us in parliament. i am sure they can curse vehementally in all languages. plus they can break a few heads too. parliament needs goonda who can speak foul language. not dhoti clad neat and decent looking malayalees. more
You should travel till kanyakumari via kerala to understand the filthiness of railway coaches.as u said it is a vry bad treatment of this part of south india and we expect the new minister to look into mumbai kanyakumari route and not till mangalore. more
