What do the MPs and MLAs do ? The soldiers, police & firefighters protect people, Doctors save lives, Teachers teach , farmers produce food, cooks cook, and so on. All I see is MPs (many of them) misbehave and create problems in the parliament, give incoherent talks, laugh, enjoy, fight, argue, travel around here and there with 10 bodyguards and policemen, and blow public money. Let's question what their duties are and if they are efficiently doing them to justify their salary and side benefits. If not, change it. We need sincere people who have done 10 years of social work, or military service, or taught 1000s of students or provided useful work through businesses to be in the parliament, not film actors, clowns, or trouble makers. more
THE MPs/MLAs ARE MODERN MAHARAJAs/PRINCES.56 PRINCELY STATES WERE UNITED TO FORM THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA ENDING THE RULE OF KINGS QUEENS AND NAWABs.IN TURN,HUNDREDS OF RULERS WERE CREATED IN STATES AND IN CENTER IN TERMS OF EMOLUMENTS AND FACILITIES THEY ENJOY AND THE WORK THEY DO.WHEN THE RULE ''NO WORK NO PAY'' APPLIES TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY,IT IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THESE LAW MAKERS!AND THEY FIX THEIR OWN SALARY,ALLOWANCES,PERKS AND FACILITIES WITHOUT INCOME TAX.THEY BEHAVE AS IF THEY ARE ABOVE THE RULE OF LAW!CAN ANY PARTY VOW TO BRING DOWN THEM FROM THE SKY TO THE GROUND LEVEL?THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF WELL QUALIFIED,TALENTED,SERVICE MINDED,PATRIOTIC YOUTHS WHO ARE PREPARED TO CONTEST THE ELECTIONS TO BECOME THE LAW MAKERS FOR REASONABLE SALARY AND FACILITIES.THE POLITICAL PARTIES WHO HAVE GIVEN TICKETS TO THESE LAW MAKERS SHOULD INTROSPECT AND COME TO CONSENSUS OVER THIS ISSUE.IF THEY DO NOT ACT,THEY WILL ONLY EARN PEOPLE'S WRATH AND REJECT THEM.THIS SHOULD BE AN ISSUE IN THE NEXT ELECTIONS.THERE SHOULD BE PIL AGAINST THIS LOOT ALSO IN CASE THE POLITICAL PARTIES DO NOT ACT.THEY SHOULD TELL WHY THEY SHOULD NOT BE TAXED?IF THE MPs/MLAs WANT FOLLOW UP AND FIELD STAFF,OFFICE AND VEHICLES,THEY SHOULD BE PAID BY THE GOVT AND FEED BACK SHOULD BE OBTAINED REGARDING THE PRODUCTIVITY AND THIS EXPENSES SHOULD NOT BE CLUBBED WITH MP/MLA EMOLUMENTS. THEY ARE COMPARING THEIR EMOLUMENTS WITH EMOLUMENTS AND FACILITIES OF ADVANCED COUNTRIES LAW MAKERS!THEN THEY HAVE TO COMPARE THE LIVES OF OUR PEOPLE WITH THAT OF THOSE COUNTRIES.THEY SHOULD ALSO COMPARE THE BEHAVIORS OF OUR LAW MAKERS WITH THOSE OF THESE DEVELOPED COUNTRIES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE PARLIAMENT/ASSEMBLIES! THERE SHOULD BE A STRICT LAW TO DISQUALIFY A MEMBER WHO DISRUPT THE PARLIAMENT/ ASSEMBLY SESSION.THE LOSS TO THE PUBLIC EXCHEQUER SHOULD BE RECOVERED FROM THE MEMBERS RESPONSIBLE.WE HAVE SEEN AN OPPOSITION PARTY MEMBER WAS BEING DRAGGED OUT OF THE DELHI ASSEMBLY.WHY THERE IS NO SUCH PRACTICE TO OUST UNRULY MEMBERS FROM THE PARLIAMENT HOUSES? IF JUNGLE LAW PREVAILS IN THE LAW MAKING BODY,WHAT SIGNAL IT PASSES ON TO THE COUNTRY AND TO THE WORLD? more
What is t this tax law? In any just system "NOBODY, EVEN THE LAW IS ABOVE THE LAW". Time we created a level playing ground for all citizens of our country. more
The salary of MP should be linked to the time he/she worked productively. more
Why is salary of MP tax free? MP works for just a few years and gets pension for entire life time? This is unfair? more
