Throwing garbage out from train
When people bring an incident to your attention Railways , they’re not just seeking action on that specific case, but highlighting a broader issue that needs reform.
Firstly, the incident: The railway employee caught throwing trash off the train in that viral video has been "removed." But what does removed even mean? Fired? Transferred to some other dept? For passengers, littering in undesignated areas is a criminal offense, so why not for railway employees? Will this person face legal consequences like a fine or jail time, as per the law?
Secondly, the broader issue: You keep him or fire him, either way, it doesn’t solve the problem. Anyone who has traveled extensively by train knows that railway staff (both direct and outsourced) commonly dispose of waste by simply tossing it onto the tracks. How else do you explain the endless piles of trash lining the tracks for kilometers before every station? Or the cattle roaming near railway lines?
This needs serious action. A few simple measures like larger bins, CCTV at bin areas in the trains, monitoring, and fixing accountability could significantly improve waste management. Worth trying.
The CCTV should be Install in Gangway of the coach in Both Direction. Also the Coach attendant should be qualified Min. HSC with Camera to tackle the issues. while entering from Yard to platform the coaches are cleaned But the passengers make it dirty. Rly. has to change the rule & need to remove control of Govt. The Fine shoul;d be kept min. 1000 /00 & / with 15 days jail without bail for cleaning the rly premises including coach toilet , Coaches , Rly Yards , Platform etc. Only then peoples will improve.

Some people are lazy. They can't even go to the dustbins in compartment. One suggestion is to provide dustbins in every seat...

Coach accomodates 70+ passangers. Vendors and unauthorised passangers are extra. Size of dust bin is hardly for a few passangers.so passangers trow garbage near dust bin area. Small dust bins are not cleaned timely.

As long as corruption and corrupted officials exists, all nuisance prevail In long distance train, near wash room area filked with spilled waste. The dustbin near the ves ti bull area remains unapproachable due to stink. This fact is well known to every railway official, but they act mute. Inside and nesr seats one can find lot of trash, dropped by vendors as well by unrully passangers. Housekeeping staff cleans as per their convenience. The wash room always stinks as many outsiders frequent and spoil the area. Several representations have been made but no use.
