Throwing trash on the streets
Why do even educated Indians not keep trash in their car and throw it when they get home or spot a dustbin. I see many people just dropping things on the streets. more

Roads, or inside metro trains. Fortunately, some fellow passengers are civil and heed such request. Laudable of you Dr. Maheshwari to point this out. Cannot have cars spreading trash. more

Once I saw somebody dropping a banana skin at a crossing. The light was red so I got off ,picked it up and gave it back to the driver saying that you can throw it in a dustbin wherever you are going. You know what I got to hear? Mind your own business!So I brought it back with me and threw it in the dustbin at home. That much for the civic sense and decency in our city! But I can only hope that next time if he has some trash he will think twice before lowering the car window and dropping it out! I can only hope...... more

Hi Only answer to this problem is that one should take ones own responsibility. Because normal thought is when others are doing why I cannot do it and this attitude has increased the menace more

educated in what ? not civic sense or public etiquette. what about the dog poop, where i live its dangeroud to walk outside the gates 'cos its all littered with you know what ? too far to expect american style carry your own plastic bags and pick up and dispose more
