Ticket can booked before 120 days
Many times we can't plan before 4 months. There may be possible to plan a journey before 2 months, In that cause, it will be hard to get ticket. So government should recall this and release ticket for booking before 60 days of travelling. more

Reservation Charges to RAC & Waiting List passengers When ticket is booked Reservation charges and sleeper charges are included in the RAC & Wait listed tickets also. But when the ticket is not confirmed the passenger has to go to the general couch as there is no reservation. What happened to the extra charges he paid?... So reservation charges and sleeper charges should not be charged on w/L tickets and when it is confirmed and a seat is allotted in the reserved couch the difference should be collected by the Ticket Collector. I feel that it is ok to allow reservations 120 days in advance. But this should be only for 50% of the entire quota of any class on any train. There should be a 10% discount in the basic fare, on the advance booking of such tickets. Only one month in advance the remaining quota may be released on full payment. Tatkal Quota should be released 2 days in advance. (instead of only 1 day as is done now). The premium fares scheme for 50% seats/berths of Tatkal Quota must be stopped immediately. Railways should not use their monopoly position to extort money from the passengers. more

very much true! the present schedule of tatkal on previous day and reservation 60days is very much OK, Govt. should recall the decision to extend it more

I too agree with you Sir. 4 Months planning is not possible. This matter must give a second thought. Existing 60 days is Ok. Instead of this type of work, Railway should do necessary steps to curb black marketing of ticket which is prevalent at reservation office and with TTE. more
