BUT MONEY IS REQUIRED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIAN RAILWAY.SO HIKE OF FARE IS TO THINK . PLANNING MAY NOT BE SUCCESSED IF INCOME IS NOT MORE.RAILWAY MUST EARN PROFIT BUT NOT MORE. CUSTOMER SERVICES ARE INCREASING DAY BY DAY,BUT THE BUDGET WII NOT BE FULL FILLED WITHOUT PROFIT. ACCIDENT MAY BE.BUT WE HAVE TO SEE THE NEGLIGENCY OF STAFF ALSO.AS WE ARE PROMISED TO SAFETY FIRST OF PASSENGERS. Good suggestion by Shri Nipun Tulsyan. When IRCTC website has reduced an expenditure of railways, they should be passed on that benefit to the IRCTC and in turn, IRCTC Should pass that amount to passengers by waiving the fee they charge. Ultimately, IRCTC should issue tickets to passengers free of any charges except ticket amount and all additional charges should be cherged to Railways. more
Time and again various news channels are pinpointing that railway ticket booking agents are using some software to prevent normal traveler from booking tatkal tickets and overriding to book tickets for their customers. It is matter of surprise why railway is not suspending booking agents as their utility has become redundant after emergence of IRCTC wave site? more
IRCTC E-ticket booking is a boom to Indian Railways, that have not only reduced the work of Railway booking counters but also have helped reduce the heavy recurring cost associated with it. Why not Railway ministry share that saving with the IRCTC and reduce the IRCTC Booking fee per ticketsIRCTC E-ticket booking is a boom to Indian Railways, that have not only reduced the work of Railway booking counters but also have helped reduce the heavy recurring cost associated with it. Dear sir, Find below the details of incident faced by me in railway while journey against corruption free India I went to kolkata for medical check up of my wife on 19.03.2016 by Train: 13163 HATE BAZARE EXP having PNR number 6653118583. During booking I got waiting list ticket which converted to RAC on the day of journey. None of the TTE boarded the train to check the ticket and allot me my respective berths. Anyhow we reached kolkata. While returning from Sealdah to Katihar my PNR no 6550382810 Train: 13163HATE BAZARE EXP Date of journey: 21- 3-2016 SDAH to PRNA, ticket didn't get confirmed and it remains in waiting list status WL 14 and WL 15. Train was fully filled with passengers due to HOLI Festival. Hence we boarded the coach S-5, and sat on birth no-7 as it was booked for TTE. Later on one more passanger came for same berth, we shared the berth. That person did not even had the reservation ticket, and he told TTE had allotted him this berth at the cost of 500 INR. we told let TTE come we will discuss, he went and informed the same to TTE. Approx half an hour latter TTE came and asked me to show the ticket. I showed him my ticket he asked me if your ticket is not confirmed how you occupied this berth. I told him as it was booked for TTE and I had a patient, I preferred to sit on this berth and wait if any possibility is there for getting the berth after complete verification. He started shouting on me this berth is allotted to this person, you are disturbing him. I asked ok, please tell me your name and give your complaint book, I will write and leave the berth as that person didn't even had that booked ticket. He refused to provide me his name and the complaint book and told me it can be given only to passanger with confirmed berth. And showed me the passanger chart list where it was written only confirmed ticket passengers are eligible to board the train and threatened me to deboard the train immediately or will handover us to police. Finally we had to get down from the train at a smaller station and latter in the morning we resumed our journey & Reached home 20 hours from late. Following are my concerns: 1. How TTE can book his birth to a passanger who even do not have the booked tickets. 2. If you are not allowing wait list ticket to board the train then why you are allowing to book so many WL tickets. Is it only for TTEs / Railway benefits. 3. If wait listed tickets are not allowed to board then why they are not eligible for full refund of money. Why not you can change the refund rule same as internet ticket i.e. fully waiting list tickets shall be considered as without ticket and they can claim their refund within next 48 hours 4. Why TTEs are not penalized for not available in the coach. 5. Why TTEs are not penalized for allotment of berths to passangers other than RAC/WL Passangers.
