Tickets for Children
Parents do not buy ticket for them. Since the children cannot be kept on their laps, the parents happily make them sit on the dining tray. in addition to breaking the table, this causes a lot of inconvenience to the passengers sitting nearby. Even if some passenger tells them not to make them sit on the tray table, they don't listen. And the TTE is least bothered.
In fact, the TTE should impose a penalty on any parent whose kids sit on the tray table. more
I support charging all parents full fare for their children of age above 5 with allocation of seat or berth as the case may be. It is time that as a country we also pay heed and respect common infrastructure as much or more than what we ourselves own. If we inculcate basic civic sense in our next generation maybe our generation will also follow suit. Without a modicum of civic sense and a strong value for discipline in public life we will continue to salpa adjust maadi and Konja purinju Pesu. And this has nothing to do with my being a Brahmin Iyengar or an Iyer or a fat ass. Your advice of Konja purinja Pesu should be followed by you first. Respect begets respect and the opposite also holds true. more
