Times of India report on Swachh Bharat poll

As outlined by many of you, we have reviewed the 1 year of Swachh Bharat poll report from the circle as published by The Times Of India today and found some of the poll data published to be inaccurate.

LocalCircles and Swachh Bharat Mission have not issued the final report yet as the poll is still in progress and is also being conducted at a local level in 150+ city circles.

If you have not joined or voted in the local poll for your city, kindly look up your local Swachh Bharat circle here, join and participate in the poll.

We hope to conclude the final exercise by Sep 25th and publish the final poll report thereafter.

In Guwahati even today many areas Garbage is dumped by people in front of the houses of those residents who can not fight for their rights. Even Corporation's contractors Park Garbage Trucks in front of the houses of gentle residents in the night time, making the area stinking whole night and impossible to stay for those residents. If you object then they throw Shit in front of your house gate making difficult for residents to go out also. Some photographs can be uploaded if so desired. Can such problems be solved. more

As pointed by MK this Swachh Bharath initiative. Though BBMP in Bangalore has become a little strict in ensuring households segregate their garbage before it is handed over to BBMP for disposal, it is sad to see that even educated households resort to dumping mixed bags of garbage on the roadside very early in the morning - even before the BBMP trolley can come to each street. Educated people take trouble to wake up early (4 am to 5 am) and dump garbage on the main roads because they are LAZY to segregate it and hand over to the BBMP trolley which comes between 6 am and 7:30 am. Ridiculous attitude of Bangalore's intelligent population. more
I agree with Bhupendre Shroff that the mindset of the people need to change. No effort by the government will keep Bharat Swachh unless we as individual hold our self accountable and responsible for the cleanliness drive. Dr S.Sanyal more
