Tips in trains
On stations current booking is closed well before its closing time as a result a needy standing in question for reservation does not get seat and train goes empty or train ticket examiner makes money. This always happens at Borivali station for Shatabdi and double decker and Karnavati trains.
Indicators on platform does not show bogie no, at Borivali especially for Double decker and Karnavati trains.
Suddenly without any intimation on mail or SMS trains are cancelled by Wrailway. This puts senior citizens in award position for those who have confirmed tickets.
Very poor announcement on platforms for long distance trains at Borivali.
Non availability of reservation counter at Borivali East station. When a person goes from East to West for reservation on walk bridge the person is harassed especially senior citizens by ticket examiner saying you don't have ticket and is fined or put behind bars. more

If the information is a fact, then it is very painful to digest. The matter should be brought to the notice of concerned authorities for necessary rectifications. more

These groups are corrupt and together they do all types manipulations to extract money from law obeying middle class citizens and elders.
Secondly including station Master and other groups are interested in manipulation ,corruption and troubling
the passengers.Last 65 yrs habituated
Practices stoping is very difficult.
If we want to stop corruption in this country we have take law in our hand.

What you mean by Concerned Authorities? Everyone worth talking about under that category DIED IN 1947.
What is left today is a bloody an ocean of stinking, born scoundrels who are lawless, undisciplined and corrupt to the core.
For hassle free survival, this stupid country is definitely not fit for any senior citizen who is peaceful, law-abiding, tax-payer and human. more

Why doesn't the passenger just refuse to pay tips. As long as there is a tip giver there will be no shortage of Tips takers. Both are at fault. more

There is need to train and change the mind set of railway staff towards passengers (consumers). They still consider themselves as Govt. employees and that of a Service Provider. They should put in best efforts to maximize revenue for railways which is already in the woods. All old working rules/systems should be changed as over the years every thing has got upgraded drastically but the railways working is static. The salaries/perks/pensions of all employees should be linked to performance and under performers be weeded out every year to keep the organization healthy. more
