To reduce pollution level

Closing all schools till 5th November is a positive step taken in this direction. This will not only save children from going out in pollution but also reduce thousands of vehicles from roads involved in transportation of students.

But many schools have closed the schools only for students and not for teachers and non-teaching staff members. There is no genuine work to be done by teachers and other staff members in the absence of students.

Unnecessary movement of thousands of vehicles of teachers and other school staff will further add to pollution levels unnecessarily, which can be easily avoided without any cost. As a long-term measure, whenever schools are off for students, Government should consider issuing instructions to all schools to declare off for all teachers and non-teaching staff also.

It should also encourage work-from-home wherever possible in all offices to minimise vehicular movement to further control pollution. In these ways pollution can be reduced effectively. more

If neighbouring states are not cooperating with Delhi, can't delhi also give them back with something or the other ? Closing schools is not a bad idea for the health of kids. But imagines the impact on their studies as well because of neighbouring states. more
Should we be dependent on such knee jerk reactions or we should work for all comprehensive measure to find a permanent solution more

Government and citizen both take hash decision. more
This action has no direction or sense. No child will stay inside the home, the child will go out to play. When the CM has distributed the masks to the children then why the schools have been closed. What about the study loss. What about the pollution inside the houses. Even the odd-even is a senseless decision. About 50% people have been exempted. No alternate has been provided. more
