Top 3 areas to tackle in Gurgaon
Base on what people responded seems like the top three issues are Road, Security and water. Any more inputs since some new people have joined...also do we have any experts in these areas or folks in our network that would be willing to lead efforts in these areas...companies that would be willing to participate, ward leaders? We can then form working groups/circles come together and approach authorities. Given elections are in the horizon there couldn't be a better time. more

Underpass is badly needed at HUDA metro centre squares both side and at IFFCO chowk.Pedstrians are crossing road with great risk.CNG station if you see so long que, no expansion happening due to fight of promoters.Poor autowalas and taxis wasting hours for refilling CNG.Why not other agency in addition to this like Govt agency IGL. Piped gas supply to sectors. more

1 There are many issues which need to be tackled on war footing in Gurgaon.Mission Gurgaon Development NGO has been working to get justice for Gurgaon for the past 5-6years. 2 Priority Areas:- * Empowerment of MCG as per 74 Constitunal Ammendment and Moily Committee Recommendations. 18+5=23 Powers to be given to MCG.Hr Govt has not given even ONE to MCG.MCG is toothless and can not deliver. * There are multiple auths with overlapping jurisdictions resulting in to inefficiency of delivery of services. * The development Plan for Gurgaon is totally faulty.We had filed 42 typed pages objections.These were totally ignored by Hr Govt.Infact ther is total mismatch between the PLAN and its execution. * Infrastructure is totally inadequate to match livable city stds. * The Govt is planning and provisioning infrastructure based on WRONG ESTIMATE OF POPULATION.The actual population has crossed 25 lacs where as the Govt is working on only 11 lac population. * Policing is totally in adequate.Law and order has collapsed * Illegal encroachments of the City have created havoc in the city. * Citizen charter for a livable city has not been made. * Inter and intra tpt system is non existing. for road and security and few related links to these parameters, police and people both are responsible.. water has to be bring up with local authorities... I am sure people who are here in localcircles, joined with a mindset to improve our infrastructure using their skills as a logistics, hence this is the time to contribute..,. more
