Tout menace

Getting confirmed ticket is becoming a difficult task.
Governments efforts are praiseworthy, but agents and touts have proved themselves to be smart enough to dodge the laws.
I would like to suggest few points which might be of use to the authorities to tackle this problem.

1. Reservation software should be customised/ designed to identify IP address of user. Reservation software should not allow more than two successive reservation on same IP address.

Agents will have to log out after every two successive booking. This will result in slow pace of booking by agents. Mass booking will become time consuming & costlier.

2. For every adult passenger, ID details like PAN. Aadhar no. , Driving licence no., Passport no. , etc must be made compulsory at the time of booking.
This will obviate the menace to a large extent.

3.Checking of ID proof by TTE should be carried out for each and every passenger.

4. Passenger failing to provide ID proof must be penalized.

5. TTE's must be provided with smart phone or Tablet so that in exceptional case, online verification can be possible. more

In running trains after checking tte are vanishing. Difficult to locket tmem in an emer gency. more
Dear Mr.Paresh, You are correct, TTE seldom checks ID. They should be directed to check ID ,if not , for each and every passenger, but on random basis. This will create fear in the minds of passengers who are travelling on other's ticket. more
It is observed that TTE do not check ID. This is not a proper. TTE should be provided with GPS enabled devices to record ID details. Since there is no check touts are taking advantage of this. Railway should make use of UIDAI database to validate the authorized Travellers. more
Limiting the no. of transaction will create problem for genuine passengers. Make quoting ID at the time of booking mandatory. more
