TRACK SAFETY or BULLET TRAIN WHICH FIRST ?

In the light of what is happening in the recent past in the Indian Railways there are some priorities have come up to the fore. My humble thoughts and feelings regarding the goings on which is being witnessed by the Nation :

* 1.There has been frequent rail accident cases that causes loss of life of our beloved Indian brothers and sisters , injuries permanent and Temporary .
# The interest of officers & staff have been taken care of more than what is deserved in one shot through the 7th Pay Commission.
$ With absolutely no visible improvement in the work culture or expression of Gratitude .

* 2. Train robberies being reported more often these days despite the security staff traveling in the trains .
# Securities were pressed into action ; each train having gun trotting going about across the Compartments .
$. But at the time of crisis the hapless passenger is not able to find one for help.

* 3. Women safety not guaranteed in sub urban as well as passenger trains . In the commuter trains despite women's compartments molesting , threatening with knife is not totally free . In passenger trains the women are targetted for chain snatching and robbing as happened recently.
# More CCTV purchased and traveling security posted .
$ .Haven't yet realized it is not the purchase of more CCTV , but involvement of the staff in the duty assigned to them is most important .
* - Issues

$ Results .

Despite all this even retired M.P.'S are given securities in the train ; when they alight or board the trains a posse of police personnel come . All that what cost ? Passenger security , Women security . A train of 1,000 to 1,200 is given a security of 2 persons for security . In the station to receive of see of a posse of 10 police including officials .

Accident is not in anyone's hand, it is usually beyond control. But, we have to necessary precautions to avert accident. If within a span of 7 days, 4 accidents have taken place, it's amounts to the impression that the officials are negligent. more

share about railways Mr. Brandon . Having lived in Railway colony till my

age of 21 , I thought i new every thing about a class of Rail men who

were dedicated to their work with sincerity , enthusiasm and interest in

the travelling public. When I went through the Book ' Foot print on the

track ' , I have come to know that that was the community who

singularly fave their all for the big push for the Railways in India. They

We need newer type of rails with a better alloy steel and Electronic signalling. more  
1= Both Bullet train & Rly Safety will have to go together. You can not ask , either agriculture or Military. Both have to go together. 2= You have to have good work culture. Bihari culture, a Lalu product, is discouraging honesty & sincerity. Why more accidents occur in UP-Bihar as compared to Gujarat- Maharashtra ? 3= Why trains starting from Eastern Railway, Kolkatta, overnight, come to Mumbai 5-10 hours late but trains from Delhi to Mum via WRly come on time ? It is culture & mentality of people towards Public Property. more  
I have been pointing out on this circle time and again that railway needs immediate boost in investment, not in percentage form but in multiples to modernize track, signalling and coaches/wagons. Finance Ministry GOI is the culprit which is not arranging the required finances for the purpose. Let the central Finance minister address this problem and provide solution. more
