Traders not passing gst rate reduction

Ashoka Lime co. in Sahibabad Ghaziabad sold Birla Aerocon wall putty both in july and august. When the gst rates were reduced in late july they increased base price and hence did not give full gst benefit. Attached are the 2 bills. Base price of 601 increased to 610. Kindly book them for profiteering. Also Birla company must be investigated. What if they didnt reduce price and increased base price. Imagine so many customers across India paying more. more

Mr. Nath, whatever I have said is the bare and honest truth but difficult to digest. Traders are minting money, swindling the public under the eyes of the government. Who has the time to go to the consumer court, do you really know what it is like and how much you will have to dish out? Believe me I have gone thru this. more
It is difficult to take on the collective might of traders community, adept at Bribe Culture. more
The GST was brought in to ease traders displeasure and see that they make the most of swindling the common consumer. The government wants the votes from the trading community and it will get it becuz of this. Why did they make the GST rates so high in the first place, why was there no plan to keep it simple and honest. Traders who bought their goods with a 28% GST will not sell at a lower GST of 18% so who is actually to blame. The GST department has behaved like a chameleon changing its colours every three months! more
Expected some sensible and matured comment in this group. more
You should ask the seller to refund the excess amount charged. If he refuses, you can take up with the Company or the Consumer Court so that the retailers do not fleece the consumers in future more
If this is a real problem, the right thing would be to report it to concerned agencies. Let us then see if the matter would get solved or not. Simply reciting a story on this website if not going to help, except to inform others that you have been cheated, which is not really going to solve the problem. It may also be worthwhile writing a complaint to BIRLA AEROCON, who may possibly take some corrective action. more
