TRAI & CABLE TV

I am sorry but, I disagree with Sree Kumar’s (Expert) opinion.
In the old system, viewers can watch all channel without paying for any additional charge per channel.
In the new system, forced upon by TRAI to the End-user, end-users are forced to watch only limited channels that can fit in their budget.
In the new system, in the family, say, a young person wants to watch sport, Old person may want to watch the news, some other family member wants to watch English. To meet with all family member ’s requirements, the charge will be sky High.
Can middle class & poor requirements be meet ?
If Not, then, where is the question of any benefit to end-user?
As an expert, your view on the new system is misguiding.
As an Expert, I request you to please point-out what was wrong in the old system which was proven for many years. more

My cable operator has prepared packages from which we have to select. There is minimum charge of around 130 or so and additional 90 for a package which does not include Zee but has Star; Since I do not watch serials, I picked the 250 package which gives me all the free channels and the paid news channels which are sufficient for my needs. If I were to ask for Zee also, I would have to pay 350/- which I as paying earlier (non HD). more
The new system is anti-consumer and should be reverted back to the old system immediately. more
I think we should revert back to old system. more
I fully agree with Shri Joshi's suggestion. more
Attached please find the press release from TRAI and understand the system. more
