TRAI HAWA MAHAL Continues…
The advertisement tells the viewer to sit in front of the TV with a paper and pen/pencil, write names of all channels, select the ones he/she wishes to view, and send the list so made, to one’s DTH/Cable operator.
Are TV viewer’s TRAI’s personal servants to carry out this nonsense order from TRAI?
This sick mindset puts the work to be done on the viewer, which actually should be done by the DTH/Cable operators.
But TRAI (possibly for some benefits some officers may be getting from the DTH/Cable operators) looks the other way, leaves the operators and holds the viewer responsible.
In addition, someone is possibly getting a kickback from the advertisements so released, which in the first place is not required after such delay of time period.
Viewer is ALWAYS the decider. Based on viewing the TRP is decided, based on which advertisements are available for the channel, and the channel could prosper and make more profits. Operators can share the profits with the channels.
Evidently, all the dirty job should be done by channels or on their behalf, by the DTH/Cable operators themselves and DEFINITELY NOT BY THE VIEWER.
TRAI MUST take corrective steps. more
