Trains frequency And quality
I have travelled and seen railway stations in many countries... A growing economy like china has far better stations and systems than we have..
1. Why can't we increase the frequency of trains dramatically
2. Why can't we have trains every 10 minutes
3. Why can't we increase the train speed
4. Why the quality of train coaches is so pathetic - please don't give me excuse hat Indians are illiterate... Let's conclude that our implementation is pathetic
5. Why are non passengers allowed to come to the platform
6. Why can't railways operate at 80% capacity rather than work at 120%
7. Why there are eateries ON THE PLATFORM.
They should be outside the platform.

We should have trains maintained and run by private companies under the guidelines of Indian Railways .And railways should be a watching and regulating agency .Like we can have luxury trains and Ac trains operated and maintained by private parties and the charges and rules can be by railways .that will improve the services and also security in trains.Also railways is too centralised and this becomes a difficult thing to cater to regional requirements .railways should have 4 or 5 regional MD s who can decide all things and make the organisation better like nationalised banks and like RBI ,Railway can have a governing agency .Railways should not be controlled by ministry but should be made as a corporate entity like State Bank of India more

More responsive local circle is the need of the hour. With more than a lakh member, only handful of members regularly visit the site and post comments. more

We post comments but we do not know if it has been read by the concerned authorities... Is it possible that the authorities start having a title and based on the titles the people can comment and then the comments can be properly summarised and relevant actions taken.. more
