Transparency required in Motor sales
a) In my sale case, I directly talked to customer and it was finished in no time. In the hindsight, the agent was pushing for a finance option to the buyer for his personal gains.
b) In a recent purchase case, the sales man tried to push us into a finance option for which he would get additional incentive. I did not go with the finance option provided by the sales man in this case. Every time I call the sales they would say "you will get your vehicle in two days". After a month I conveyed that this is going to be escalated to the vehicle manufacturer, then it was taken seriously.
This is a means of exploitation of customers for personal gains. There is no transparency or professionalism in the whole process.
Insurance industry had this problem and their agents were losing credibility. With IRDA certifying agents fake promises have stopped. We need similar levels of professionalism in motor vehicle sale/purchase sector.
Let us join hands and overcome this unprofessional attitude. more
